Description

Here is some data from the July new moon captured with a tandem mounted dslr rig 550d and 60d. This region around SADR in Cygnus is very busy and contains many Ha, Oiii, and reflection nebula objects. I was not as happy with the stars in this image as I was in last years North American nebula, however I did feel that I was able to preserve the faint oiii much better, which I did not even realize was there at first.

This workflow was complex, I integrated pseudo 550d lum into the 60d subs and combined 3 master images, 60d lum, lum plus pseudo, and osc to obtain the final image. Hope you enjoy.

550d full spectrum: 84 subs x 45s Astronomik L1

60d monochrome: 65 subs x 60s Astronomik CLS-CCD

iso 1600
