Description

I didn't intend on imaging this object. When I went outside I was going to try and image NGC 7293 the Helix Nebula. However it wasn't high enough in the sky and behind a tree. I took a test image of IC63 the Ghost of Cassiopeia and also NGC7635 the Bubble Nebula. I could tell from the test images that I'd be wasting my time. The Moon was too bright. I finally decided that I had better try a cluster and chose M2. It's been 4 years since I imaged this object. I fought with clouds the entire night. I had to trash more than half of my light frames because of clouds. My AT72ED was probably not the best scope for imaging this object because M2 is relatively small. Anyway with all of that said please enjoy my most recent image of M2.

Description: Clouds and rain just will not go away. I can't image so I was using the time to tweak some of my images to try and improve them. I did a little reprocessing to try and resolve a few more stars in the cluster. The change is very subtle.
