The updated version finally is calibrated with 18 darks and 16 flats for Ha and OIII in Maxim DL5 and has included my best subs captured so far.

This may be a very interesting challenge for me to do this in narrowband but I like challenges and this will be a work in progress. My goal is trying to recreate what I saw visually through a 40 inch dobsonion telescope a few years ago at Table Mountain Star Party. The outer shell was almost more intense then the M27 itself and much more is there to be captured.

Updated revised version with 50 hours of data collected with some during the monsoon season.

I started this in beginning July with about a 7 hour window of imaging; but now has narrowed down to a 4 hour window and will stop collecting data end of September and possibly revisit next year at another attempt.

I did use PSF function in Pixinsight along with Star Mask and deconvolution to tighten up star structures throughout image and appears to be of benefit capturing at 2650mm.

Really becoming a challenge now to maintain FWHM to lower values as image window shrinks from optimization of altitude available as it transits much earlier each week in September 2018.

Next update probably won't be until the 80 hour mark of data collection.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
