This is the first time I've imaged this target in color, and it proved a little more challenging than expected. A large part of the difficulty was, unfortunately, smoke: smoke from wildfires in British Columbia, eastern Washington, Oregon, California and even Siberia, all of which passed through Seattle at various points this month. I discarded almost 40 O-iii subs over three nights due to sheets of smoke passing through at various times.

That aside, I really like the field: the oxygen rich Crescent riding on deep red waves of hydrogen and sulfur. Rather evocative of the fires around us.
