Description

Comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner photographed on July 15, 2018. In this second image taken after one week and from more dark location the comet shows a enveloping greenish coma of 5' angular diameter with a tail 8' lenght. The brightest star is Zeta Cephei with magnitude 3.4, between it and comet can be peceived a faint nebulosty of redish emission, as well as a small red planetary nebula at image bottom.

Telescope GSO 8" N f/3.8 & Camera Atik 383L+.

9 min. total exposure.
