Description

Mars through high level cirrus on a full Moon night.

I persevered with one hour imaging run despite uneven transparency. Clouds finally cleared shortly after local midnight allowing for this view.

Martian Prime Meridian is centred in this image with Sinus Meridiani and Sinus Sabaeus fully clear of the dust storm (its epicentre). South Polar Cap is very bright compared to its northern counterpart. Mare Erythraeum and dusty Argyre basin are also very prominent.
