Description

This is a bi-color image of SH2-101, better known as the Tulip Nebula.

I am in the learning process of processing color images and this image is my first somewhat successful result, though other renditions are most likely to be tried. I have learned a lot with trying to processing this bi-color image and new ideas are still coming to mind, so please forgive me and my mistakes as I try to become a "master rookie"!

With this revision I had brightened and added contrast to the whole image as I wanted to remove some of the overwhelming red cast and bring out some blackness to the more empty spaces of the image. I used the free program paint.net to accomplish this simple adjustment. I hope that you think these changes have improved the image.

I was trying to get slightly different coloring and contrast.
