Description

NGC 5128, also known as the Centaurus Alpha, is galaxy spanning approximately 60,000 light years, about 10-16 million light years from Earth. It can be seen in the constellation of Centaurus.

This image was processed in PixInsight using three RGB filters. A synthetic Luminance was constructed from all three filters. The final image was cropped and re-sampled by 120% for aesthetic reasons.
