Description

I took this one evening as a test - having purchased an adapter for my Canon T3i to be able to use some of my old Minolta lenses. This was shot using a 45mm Minolta lens @ f/4 under a very heavily light-polluted sky north of Washington DC (~Bortle 6). I didn't take/use any calibration frames. It's crazy what digital cameras and image processing can do! "Honey, we may not have to move to West Virginia after all...."

It was by taking this image that learned of the beautiful little open cluster, NGC 7789, aka "Caroline's Rose." It's on my list to go back to and image. It's right near the left edge of the frame, about half way up. If you look at my image at maximum resolution you can see it easier.
