Description

It's a peaceful time on the sun's surface right now. During a solar minimum, we are treated to fewer sunspots and solar flares for a long period of time, so I was not expecting any surprises when I pointed my setup at the sun for 3 hours and 20 minutes on Sept. 12. But to me, the sun is still never boring and I love creating time-lapse shots.

This animation originally consisted of 249 frames. But to make the file size more manageable, I removed 102 down to 147. There was very little loss in quality since I captured the frames so close together anyway. I recorded 10 seconds videos spaced 30 seconds apart over a 3 hours and 20 minute period.

It's running at 24 frames per second, forward and reverse.

Sorry for the long download time. The animation is 35MB.
