Constellation: Canes Venatici

Distance: 23.5 million light-years

Magnitude: 8.6

Comments: M63 is a spiral galaxy with knotted arms of dust and energetic star-forming regions. The galaxy disk is approximately 86,000 light-years in diameter. The bright core is surrounded by tightly wound interacting spiral arms.
