Description

This is Caroline's Rose, an open cluster in Cassiopeia. I really like the way astronomers associate real objects with star formations (or nebulas) and name them after them. Caroline Herschel discovered this cluster in 1783.

I could not go on with my autumn project (more than 10 hours of bubble nebula) because of bad weather and the bright moon. So i decided to use this evening, where we had no clouds at all but a bright moon, for a star cluster. I ever wanted to image Caroline's Rose (remember, i love these names), so i did it although later in the year the position in the sky would have been better.
