A Lua é normalmente vista em tons sutis de cinza ou amarelo
As diferentes cores são reconhecidas para corresponder a diferenças reais na composição química da superfície lunar.
As tonalidades azuis revelam áreas ricas em ilmenita, que contém ferro, titânio e oxigênio, principalmente titânio, enquanto as cores laranja e roxa mostram regiões relativamente pobres em titânio e ferro.

The Moon is usually seen in subtle shades of gray or yellow
The different colors are recognized to correspond to real differences in the chemical composition of the lunar surface.
The blue tones reveal areas rich in ilmenite, which contains iron, titanium and oxygen, mainly titanium, while the orange and purple colors show relatively poor titanium and iron regions.
