Description

Large parts of Sh2-168 appear almost completely structureless. The center is much brighter, slightly striped and sits like a shield hump in the middle of the fog. In the northeast, a ragged dark cloud appears to be sliding in front of Sh2-168, making the fog look gnawed. The neighbor Sh2-169 looks completely structureless and is dominated by the stimulating star in its center. In the southeast, the fog is sharply defined, while in other places it diffuses diffusely into the background.
