Description

On Saturday, September 15th 2018, under the beautiful dark sky of the Lac-Megantic area Quebec, Canada), I pointed my telescope at the M33 galaxy in the constellation of the Triangle and let it take 5 minute photos for much of the night. I kept 47 photos of 5 minutes for a total of 3:55 of exposure.

This galaxy, close to ours, is at a distance of 3 million light-years from Earth and contains more than 40 billion stars. It is the most distant object that the human eye can observe.
