Description

NGC 6559 is a star-forming region located at a distance of about 5000 light-years from Earth, in the constellation of Sagittarius, showing both emission (red) and reflection (bluish) regions.
It is located about 1.5° East of the Lagoon Nebula ( M8 ).

This LRGB-image was captured with the ASA500N telescope and FLI PL16803 camera from Telescope Live in El Sauce Observatory, Chile.
Total integration time: 160 minutes
LRGB 6:3:3:6 subs of 600s with each filter.
