Description

Remarkable rille. Directs to the North then turn to the West.
Width varying 6 to 10 km. decreasing to 500 m to its West
extremity.
Begins to 25 km to the North of Herodotus by a lengthened
craterlet called 'the Head of Cobra'. Floor covered by a 200 m
wide rille.Aristarchus has steep slopes especially to the north.High walls in terraces.Small central mountain.Transcient phenomena has been reported in the area.Next is crater Herodotus.
Circular formation.Steep slopes to the South and to the East.
Few high walls supporting the craterlet Herodotus N to the North.
Flat floor filled with somber lava. Starting point of Vallis Schröter to the North.Also in the frame are Montes Agricola 160 km long chain .
