Description

This is first light with my new 12" GSO F/4 Newtonian Truss. Collimation was just a hair off in my first two filters in Ha and OIII. I did tweak it by the time I got to SII. I never had a newtonian before, so collimating it is new to me.

NGC 896 (IC 1795) is an emission nebula in the constellation of Cassiopeia. It is often referred to as the Fishhead Nebula. It is a large star-forming region that is part of the Heart Nebula (IC 1805). It lies six thousand light years away and has a diameter of 70 light years. It is part of the Perseus molecular cloud.
