Description

The "eye" of NGC 281 aka the Pacman nebula. This region of space is populated by several Bok globules, small dark nebulae that are dense with cosmic dust and gas. Color composite of hydrogen alpha, infrared, visible and blue filter images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2005.
