Description

NGC 1491( Sh2-206) lies very close to Sh2_205 if you have a good fov these two objects in Perseus make for a good image. The Ha and SII are blended into the red channel (50/50), green is 100% OIII and the blue is a blend of OIII and Ha (85/15) a method from J P Metsavainio. The OIII and SII are still noisy but I'll gather more subs for thesefilters as the moon allows, as it is this is now eight hours worth over a few different nights. Perseus rises high enough for me after midnight atm.

Rev A: The 4 hours Ha with a STF applied. This is used as the Luminance for the coloured image.

I had taken 4 hours of Ha back in Dec 2017 on this and 70 minutes OIII and SII. It was at a different rotation to the recent data. I've integrated both sets now. It results in a heavy crop of the area surrounding Mt Everest ( looks like the mountain poking above the clouds to me.) I only used 2 hours of the Ha though mist or Ice had effected some of the subs.
