Description

NGC 672 (on left) is a 10.7 mag in Triangulum and estimated to be 18 million light years away. It is thought to be interacting with mag 11.4 IC 1727, the galaxy on the right. The little edge-on toward the bottom is PGC 1803573, a mag 16.3 galaxy with apparent size of one arc minute.

Optics: Hyperion f/8 12.5 inch, FL 2540 mm

Mount: Paramount ME

Camera: Apogee U8300

Guiding: ST-402 on Innovations Foresight On-Axis Guider,

Exposure: LRGB: L:18x10min R:15x8 min, G:13x6 min, B:19x10 min for a total of 9.5 hrs.

Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing with Photoshop.
