Description

The Dumbbell Nebula is a planetary nebula in the constellation Vulpecula, at a distance of about 1,360 light-years. This object was the first planetary nebula to be discovered; by Charles Messier in 1764.

Coordinates: RA 19h 59m 35s | Dec +22° 43′ 16″

Absolute magnitude (V): −0.6+0.4; −0.3

Apparent dimensions (V): 8′.0 × 5′.6

Shot with a WO132FLT APO Refractor and Flattener 7 x0.8 reducer on a DarkFrame Stellardrive NEQ6 using a ZWO 183MM camera with Astronomik CLS/R/G/B filters.
