Description

I am really happy with this one. There were clouds all the time and i had to check every single frame just to see if i can use it. I was surprised that so many could be used (50 out of 60), but a lot of the subs were taken through thin clouds.

I tried longer subs this time and i must say that the image benefits from it. Postprocessing was easier than yesterdays image (which was taken with 1 min subs on a similar target).

NGC 7331 is a galaxy thought to be similar to the milky way, but back in 2000 scientists discovered that the core rotates in the opposite direction than the spiral arms. I wonder what caused this and i am really happy that our galaxy does not behave like this. Despite of this (or maybe because of this), NGC 7331 is a real beauty! I am also happy that some of the companions of this galaxy made it to the image. This bunch of galaxies is called "Deer Lick Group". What a name...
