Description

The almost full moon was imaged in 2014 (https://www.astrobin.com/112585/B/?image_list_page=2&nc=&nce=)

This was my first incursion onto lunar lucky imaging. At first I thought I didn’t get lucky at all, but the processing phase was a lot of fun and very productive. Instead of publishing both craters independently, I decided to map them onto the earlier image.

Crater Copernicus is 93Km in Diameter and 3.8Km in depth, named after Nicolaus Copernicus by Giovanni Riccioli in 1651

Crater Albategnius is 129Km in Diameter and 4.4Km in depth, named after Al-Battani by Giovanni Riccioli in 1651

Resolution on the F30 images is around 250mts/pixel
