Description

First attempt at completely processing a synthetic "L" independent of RGB before combining at a last step. Feedback and constructive criticism is welcome.

Integrated best 31 of 55 frames selected using a combination of Subframe Selector and Blink using the weighting:

40*(1-(FWHM - FWHMMin) / (FWHMMax - FWHMMin)) + 10*(1-(Eccentricity - EccentricityMin) / (EccentricityMax - EccentricityMin)) + 30*((SNRWeight - SNRWeightMin) / (SNRWeightMax - SNRWeightMin)) + 40

Approval: FWHM < 14 && SNRWeight > 0.75

No local normalization or drizzle performed, stacked using winsorized sigma clipping.

Automatic Background Extraction - Degree 0

Dynamic Background Extraction with 12 samples carefully placed

Background Neutralization

Color Calibration using the star cluster in the upper-center as a white reference

RGB Working space to 1,1,1

Extract Synthetic L and L Workflow:

* Deconvolution with a Dynamic PSF using starmask for local support 0.3, Global dark 0.01 and Bright 0.003

* Replace brightest stars using pixelmath and clonestamp'ed mask

* Range mask to select nebulosity and MMT for light sharpening

* TGV Noise reduction Using a low contrast mask

* 3 rounds of MMT Noise reduction using 8 layers and a very protective luminance mask, even more protective on subsequent iterations

* HDR Multiscale Transform on Halos

* Masked Stretch with 1000 iterations HSI Intensity and 0 clipping

* Histogram to bring the tail in with no clipping

* Curves for contrast

* ACDNR with a fairly protective luminance mask

* Range mask to select nebulosity and HDR on Nebula regions

* Range mask on faint dust regions and Local Histogram Equalization

RGB workflow:

* TGV Noise reduction Using a low contrast mask

* MMT Noise reduction using 8 layers and a fairly protective luminance mask

* Morphological Transformation to bring in star sizes to match L

* Saturation of Stars with Star Mask

* ArcSin Stretch

LRGB Combination

* Convolution on star cores to eliminate artifacts from MaskedStretch'd L with stretched RGB

* Curves to enhance contrast and saturation

* Small Histogram boost on brighter regions to bring out stars
