After a colleague imaged the Dark Doodad when we were in the Atacama, I have become more interested in dark nebulae. Here is the start of such a project with the Cocoon Nebula and its westerly neighbor, Barnard 168. I plan to gather both narrowband and RGB data for an eventual color rendering.

The Cocoon obviously needs work and more data...Stay tuned...
