Description

i shot this from a field nr Basingstoke lasyt Saturday night... it was extremely cold in my tent but the light pollution is way better than at home on my roof in London... and I was with a bunch of fellow nerds which was fun! This image is testing out my new dual rig set up designed to get wide, deep shots of the milky way. Really I need to go somewhere a bit darker to get the most out of it but this first test is promising. I really like it bc its not a region than gets imaged that often. Can't wait to explore our galaxy a bit more with this set up ;-)

And I'm experimenting with a tiltshift filter too. I know its not purists idea of astrophotography but I'm keen to play about with my astro images and make them more artistic than scientific
