Description

Star Center from Panel 8 of my 15 Panel Andromeda Mosaic. Data Acquired over the last three months from MaRIO (Marathon Astronomical Remote Imaging Observatory).

A labor of love and great effort. Such tremendous heavens require no less.

Panel 8 HD 4444 TYC 2805-1867-1

An 8th magnitude double star appearing in the Constellation Andromeda. 576 light years from our solar system. It is a yellow-white star if spectral type F. It’s energy output is 6.8 times our Sun’s luminosity.

Part of a double star system, it’s orbit is unknown. It’s 11.7 component appears 2.9 arc seconds away.
