This a short movie showing of M77 before and after SN 2018inc. Look at the six o'clock position near the core of the galaxy for the appearance of what looks like an extra star. This is a supernova.

The animation loops five times. Before and after the supernova. Blinking between the images helps spotting differences between frames.

Each frame is a single 900 sec lum image, with the addition of some colour data to make it look more interesting.
