Description

The Leo Trio is an easy find with the Telrad, especially when using a focal reducer; all 3 galaxies are visible with 1 s exposures in the imaging scope. I have the extender on with the focal reducer to make it 0.5x, and this is clearly too much: I see severe coma and vignetting (like the worst I have ever seen; I've tried to clean it up in software, but still...). I'll need to shoot this again without the extender. Some very light wind gusts. CCD at 5.5 °C (6 V 1.5 A).

Amazing! I just found that my image picked up the Type II supernova SN2013am in M65. It's in the center of the disk, on the left side of M65 (bottom left galaxy) in this image and is barely visible, but it is there.
