Description

Messier 77 (M77 or NGC 1068) is a magnitude 9.6 barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Cetus. It is seen 'face-on' and lies about 47 million light years away. I was able to capture the outer faint glow in this face-on. A number of small background galaxies add some depth and interest to the image.
