Description

I certainly agree that, at least from this composition, this nebula does look like a lobster munching its way through space. During it's travels it has landed in the constellation of Scorpius (the scorpion) which is rather ironic I think given it's similarity in appearance to the large scorpion in the sky.

This image has been comprised from data taken through Hydrogen Alpha (Ha), Oxygen III (OIII) and Sulfur II (SII) filters and combined using the Hubble Pallet (SII = Red, Ha = Green, OIII = Blue). A luminance master was created from the Ha channel.
