Description

First attempt to shoot Sun with my new Coronado PST. I am amazed by the scope, visually I can see prominence, flares and surface details even with single stack (1 Ang). I use attached 18 mm eyepiece (cheap but works fine), wide angle 25 mm Plossel and 10 mm Baader Hyperion. Ohhh, boy, with the last one the Sun is just jumping on me )) Shooting is much more tricky thing to do. Levenhuk camera focus but gives plain picture, probably, because of IR land UV light . ASI 290 MC work MUCH better but without L filter (with filter I cannot focus at all). Barlowx2 works well with lense block attached directly to 1.25" adaptor. A lot to learn about sweet spot (I noticed that on all images), proper focusing on the edge of the Sun but not on surface, proper exposition and gain. But it is very educating and interesting process, I am eager to learn more ))
