Description

I've been imaging for a year and a half now and this is my most difficult target so far. Images were acquired from a dark sky site outside Milwaukee over three nights in December while the nebula was over Lake Michigan, the darkest part of the sky at the site. This was taken with a stock uncooled and unmodified 5D Mark IV; sensor temperatures were around 39F which meant low levels of thermal noise. This area of the sky is riddled with satellite trails, but PixInsight's large scale pixel reduction did an outstanding job of rejecting them.
