Description

A crop of a wider image, just to highlight the position of the supernova in M65. The SN itself seems dimmer already than when it was first spotted, although that might be just my imagination. For this picture colour data from an old QHY8 was overlaid on Luminance data from an Atik 460ex. I am experimenting to see whether it is worth investing in a colour version of the 460ex, and use that for RGB colour instead of the normal LRGB filters route, as a means of making better use of the limited clear skies we have in the UK.
