Description

The story of the image: during the wildfires in California last November, the sky was smoked for weeks. So I spent some time on a robotic T3 iTelescopes at Mayhill, New Mexico.

Hind's Variable Nebula (NGC 1555), also known as SH2-238 in the Sharpless Catalog. The orange star in the middle of the dusty nebula is so-called Herbig–Haro object. Herbig–Haro objects are turbulent clouds of gas and dust left from a newborn star. The gas ejected from the orange star collides with the cold dusty environment from the nearby interstellar space.

Herbig–Haro object is a transitional period of the newborn star, which lasts a few thousand years
