Description

Not to be confused with IC63, which also is referred to as the Ghost Nebula by some astronomers. Sharpless 2-136 (also VdB 141) is a reflection nebula made of densely packed gas and dust amid a larger field of scattered dust in the Cepheus constellation. Astronomers believe it is over two light years across. Sometimes presented by astroimagers as a dim form with a dark background, I chose to reveal the scattered dust that floats throughout the surrounding space.
