Messier 41 (também conhecido como M41 ou NGC 2287) é um aglomerado estelar aberto na constelação de Canis Major. Foi descoberto por Giovanni Battista Hodierna em 1654 e foi, talvez, conhecido por Aristóteles, cerca de 325 a.C.M41 fica a cerca de quatro graus quase exatamente ao sul de Sirius. Ele contém cerca de 100 estrelas, incluindo várias gigantes vermelhas, a mais brilhante é do tipo espectral K3 gigante perto do centro do aglomerado. Messier 41 (also known as M41 or NGC 2287) is an open star cluster in the Canis Major constellation. It was discovered by Giovanni Battista Hodierna in 1654 and was perhaps known by Aristotle, about 325 BC. It stands at about four degrees almost exactly south of Sirius. It contains about 100 stars, including several red giants, the brightest of the giant K3 spectral type near the center of the cluster. It is estimated that the cluster is moving away from us at 23.3 km / s. The diameter of the agglomerate is between 25 and 26 light-years. Its age is estimated between 190 and 240 million years.

If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
