Description

Here’re a few of the several images I took of the moon during totality from my driveway. With the cold, I decided to finally figure out my DSLR’s interval timer, which saved me a lot of grief. Must’ve taken over 100 photos spread out leading up to totality. The night started out at 0F, so I went out intermittently to check focus every 10 min or so and catch some views w/ my binoculars. It was pretty dark, darker than I remember the eclipse was in 2015. The SQM sensor I had was reading around 19.5-19.6 mpsas near mid-eclipse. Seeing the Beehive pop out so easily with the moon nearby was a real treat! During totality, I also hunted down a few other DSOs like M81/82 and M1. It was a fun, albiet cold night!
