Description

Collage of the "Super Blood Wolf Moon" lunar eclipse on January 21, 2019.

This was my first eclipse ever!

I missed the total eclipse in July 2018 due to clouds, but the weather was excellent this time.

It was cold (-7C) and my gear worked flawlessly. I especially enjoyed viewing the event through the eyepiece, that experience is so unique. It is probably impossible to recreate the view with a photo due to the huge difference in brightness between the eclipsed and illuminated parts of the Moon.

Exposure at start of umbral phase: 1/640s ISO-200

Exposure during totality: 5 sec ISO-200

The photos in the collage are at native resolution (2.74"/px), so please zoom
