Description

One of my favorite shots from last night was one I didn't expect. I zoomed way out during the totality of the lunar eclipse when the background stars became visible for a wider view. It was amazing to behold. As the full moon was almost blotted out from the sky, I could only imagine what the ancients went through, mentally, when they saw this. You owe it to yourself to see it with your own eyes if you haven't. Photographs tend to exaggerate how bright the eclipsed moon is. In reality, its just barely there.

Joining the eclipse pic flood, but what to do? It's always an awesome view.

Positioned in the upper corner of this frame is the Beehive Cluster. I don't know when I'll get to compositing the rest of the shots I took. This is one single .5s exposure.
