Description

A closeup look at the Sun today. Active Region 12733. It's a magnetic storm currently raging on our star, and this afternoon it was *21 Earth Diameters* across!

Captured with a Coronado SolarMax 60mm hydrogen-alpha telescope at f/13.4 and a ZWO ASI178MM-C camera in very cold, but surprisingly still air.
