Description

I thought I'd try using my 55-300mm zoom lens on Orion at 200mm to capture all of the "junk" under his belt. This was the first lens I used to capture the Orion Nebula and Andromeda back in 2016 when I first started this hobby. I bought a telescope soon after and never really went back to this lens because I figured the quality would be so bad. I was pleasantly surprised how well this came out though the stars look funky, overall, it's a pretty decent image.

I rigged the filters to fit on the very front of the lens using some cardboard and tape. That's a way of life over here :).
