Description

OK, I'm "riding the coattails" a little here ... but seeing all of these marvellous pictures of the recent lunar eclipse in the northern hemisphere has inspired me to go back and finish processing the data I collected during last year's total eclipse in July.

The middle image was a challenge due to the high dynamic range, struggled to get a result that I found appealing (and that emulated the stunning sight through the eyepiece).

Acquisition details (from top to bottom/left to right):

1: 1/400s @ ISO200 x 1

2: 1/125s @ ISO200 x 1

3: HDR combination of 4 subs (1/160, 1/40, 1/20, 0.4s @ ISO200)

4: 28 subs (stacked), total exposure 85s (average 3s per frame @ ISO800)

5: 32 subs (stacked), total exposure 102s (3.2s per sub @ ISO1600)

I hope you enjoy it, thanks for looking!
