Description

Processed another evening of Mars recordings slowly reclaiming backup disk space... WinJUPOS composite of best three 180 second avis from 20 Sep 2018 (capture midpoint is at 6:39 pm with sunset at 5:58 pm). One hour imaging session between 6:13 and 7:15 pm Canberra time.

The three stacks combined into this image are consecutive and cover 9 minutes elapsed time. The image compares non-drizzle (top) and drizzle (bottom row) stack composites.

In the southern hemisphere Argyre Basin has just crossed the terminator, Galle and Lowell craters flank it on each side (left and right respectively in North on top versions). SPC leaves behind mottled purple area as it sublimes. Blue clouds stretch into Mare Acidalium in high northern latitudes. Chryse, Mare Erythraeum and Aurorae Sinus are also prominent albedo features.
