Description

This is my first light of CCA250.

New Comet C/2018 Y1 (Iwamoto) was about 141 million miles from Earth in these images with an estimated magnitude of about 14 in a hazy twilight sky. The comet is expected to reach about magnitude 7 in February when it will make a close approach to Earth at about 16 million miles. The comet reaches perihelion in it's orbit on January 27 when it will be about 106 million miles from the Sun.
