Description

The Large Magellanic Cloud, a galaxy at 163.000 lightyears from Earth and visible by the naked eye as a "cloud". Awesome to see for the first time. It is host to various nebulae with the Tarantula Nebula being the largest and most famous one.

ps. I didn't have my regular gear with me to New Zealand, but the darkness of the skies there meant I could snap photo's quite nicely with just a tripod and short exposures. For focus (could be better), I 3D printed a Bahtinov mask.. yes, I really didn't have any astro gear.
