Description

M 82 is a so called starburst galaxy that is about 12 million lightyears away. In the center region of the galaxy stars are born at a high rate. The strong radiation of the newborn stars compresses gas particles and leads to a gas movement perpendicular to the galaxy plane.

Ha-RGB combination of Pentax K3ii data for the color (50 x 180s ISo 800) and ASI1600mmpro data for hydrogen alpha (49 x 300s gain 139). Shot through a TS 130/910 mm apo. Registering of the different data in Astro Pixel Processor.
