Description

An accumulation of around 11 hours of H-alpha and 5.5 hours of Sulphur. I ended up removing a handful of bloated stars near the centre that I felt detracted from the overall image. It was somewhat of a tricky time getting these subs, most of the nights I shot this area it was around -30C. Surprisingly, all the equipment ran well but I had to cover the laptop in a make shift shelter with a space heater running to keep it warm, as a number of times my laptop quit from being too cold. My other concern in those temperatures are my cables, as they become very stiff and I worry about snapping them. Unfortunately this far north, the best nights are during the winter and between May-August I often have little to no complete darkness, so Ill suffer in the cold.
