I recently got a fixture for mounting a smartphone onto an Okular.
(Celestron NexYZ) This Adapter can easily be adjusted on all 3 Axis. (x,y, distance)

For this picture I used a 24mm Plössl Okular and an iPhone 6 .

After I visually adjusted the Telescope overall focus, the iPhone auto focus was spot on.

The result is better than I expected, since I had no control over the iPhone exposure time.
(I guess it was in the range 1/3 to 1 sec)

I manually shot 80 images.

P.S. after revisiting iPhone 6 camera instructions, I found a slider to vary the exposure time.
